In this episode we talk with, Joshua Zehner. If the name doesn’t ring a bell it’s because you have not been paying attention! With over ten thousand live performances under his belt, this guy has paid his dues.

He was the very last graduate from the very last year of Ringling Clown College before joining them on the north American tour, performing at Circus Circus in Vegas, creating and performing an original clown character in Cirque Du Soleil’s Kooza and now teaching physical comedy at Second City in Hollywood, California.

In this episode we talk with, the wonderful Gabriela Muñoz. With roots in Mexico she travels the world sharing her unique gift of story, physical comedy and clown with men, women and children around the globe.

In this episode we talk with, the eccentric John Gilkey. You may know him from his highly acclaimed lead roles in major Cirque du Soleil spectacles like Quidam, Dralion, Varekai, & Iris.

I paid him a visit and we sat down on his patio in the Hollywood hills to talk about physical comedy and clown. However, what developed from our conversation were a few unexpected twists and turns in the John Gilkey narrative, I learned more then I could of hoped for about the passion, philosophy, hopes, dreams and future goals of this incredibly inspiring artist.

Ep. 12 – Dandy Danno – A Fool’s Idea the Podcast

This episode features Dandy Danno a wonderful clown from the Lidia Togni Circus one of Italy’s oldest most prestigious touring circuses. We caught up with Dandy in the middle of the night, (because touring circus clowns do not seem to have much time off). We talk about connecting with the audience, improvisation, Italian political clowns, and what it was like to quit a high paying corporate job and run away with the circus!

If you are a fan of PBS or the Big Apple Circus, then you are a fan of seasoned-newbie-veteran-clown Glen Heroy! He made his traveling circus debut and his documentary miniseries debut under the Big Apple Big Top during the 2008 – 2009 season while a PBS camera crew recorded his every move for the miniseries “Circus“, but he has been a performing clown since the age of 12. We talk about inspiration, the circus, hospital clowning, Santa Claus, “mud” shows & being your own worst enemy.
